Southeast University (simplified Chinese: 东南大学; ancient
Chinese: 東南大學; pinyin: Dōngnán Dàxué,
SEU), informally Dongda (Chinese: 东大; pinyin: Dōngdà) could be a public analysis university set in
metropolis, Jiangsu Province, China. it's one in all the oldest universities
and also the initial integrated university in China.it's a member of each
Project 985 and Project 211, and sponsored by the Ministry of Education of
China reaching to become a well known foremost university.
SEU has been hierarchical among the highest twenty analysis universities
in China, and among the highest five hundred within the world.within
the official subject ranking conducted by the Ministry of Education of China,

nationwide in eight fields as well as design, architecture, urban designing,
arts, technology, electronic engineering, transportation engineering and
medical specialty engineering.
Its forerunner, Sanjiang traditional faculty, was established in
1902 as a contemporary university on the field of AN academy that dates back to
258. In 1921, the varsity modified its name to National Southeast University
and have become the second national university in China. Later SEU was renamed
to National Central University in 1927 and shortly became the nation's flagship
university. In 1952, the university was split into eight establishments
throughout the communism revolution. And its polytechnic institute, the most
important college in terms of college range and student enrollment, stayed
in its original field and type metropolis Institute of Technology, that
modified its name back to Southeast University in 1988.
